CPSA - Civil and Public Service Artists

AWARDS FOR BEST ARTISTS IN SHOW AT THE ANNUAL CIVIL AND PUBLIC SERVICE ARTISTS EXHIBITION 2007

The annual Civil and Public Service Artists awards were announced at the packed Banqueting House in Whitehall, last week.

Fredrick John England, a Gold Medal winner at the Paris Salon and gallery owner, judged the Exhibition. And with over four hundred paintings, drawings, sculptures and ceramics to critique, the task of deciding whose work should be awarded was not easy.

There were six awards to be won.

Mohamed A. Ismail, Formerly of the Department of Education, Won the Margaret Butler cup - Best in show.

Louis Roskell, Merchant Navy Association, Civil Service Insurance Society Award for best watercolour.

Guy Warrington-Brown, DGC, Fred Moore Memorial Cup

David Wood, Government News Network-East, Tom Money Medal for most innovative work of art.

William E. WHEELER, En Plain Air

Helen Monostori, Formerly National Savings, HSBC Sculpture award.

All the works of art were for sale ranging from £12 to £400,000 and it wasn’t long before the red sold stickers started appearing proving the high quality of works available. For the first time the Civil Service Insurance Society (www.csis.co.uk) sponsored the very glossy and professional looking catalogue of works on show as well as present the award category of Best Watercolour in the exhibition.
